Dr. Nawshin Torsha

Dr. Nawshin Torsha is working with Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) as a Senior Research Associate and Project Coordinator for more than 6 years. She has proficiency in developing methodology plan and report writing on research findings. She has developed manuscripts on Disability Friendly Health Care (DFHC), adolescent health and MPDSR. Besides, she has organized and conducted training as per need of program/event (different health system approach, reproductive and child health) to the heath service providers as well as data collectors. She acted as a Master Trainer to train up health care providers on different topics. In addition, she received hands-on training on FP methods (specially on IUD and Implant) and rendered training on this to around 400 health care providers across the country. However, developing training modules, standard operating procedure and IEC guideline for disability friendly health care have added special achievements of her career. For all the projects, she maintained close relations with all stakeholders and established effective linkages with similar INGOs/NGOs/institutions and Government departments to share lessons learnt. Recently, she took part in developing national training manual on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) in Bangladesh in both Bangla and English version. Earlier, Dr. Nawshin completed Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
