A UNFPA-funded project, with technical support from CIPRB in Bangladesh, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following position:
Position Title: Research Lead
Duty Station: Dhaka
Duration: 20 Working Days (Short-term Assignment)
Number of Vacancies: 02 (Two)
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Master’s in Climate Change, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Public Health, Geography, Development Studies, or related field.
- At least 5–7 years of research experience in climate change or environmental research (for Master’s degree holders).
- Experience in climate vulnerability assessment, adaptation strategies, or resilience-building projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead research team on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
- Conduct literature reviews and develop research proposals related to climate resilience.
- Analyze climate-related data using statistical and analytical software (SPSS, STATA, R, GIS).
- Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and research publications.
- Integrate climate change into sectoral areas such as health, SRHR, disaster risk reduction, and environment.
- Review and finalize technical reports, policy briefs, and publications.
- Guide integration of climate adaptation into SRHR preparedness strategies.
- Ensure alignment with national policies and donor requirements.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with government, NGOs, and development partners.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of Bangla and English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently within tight deadlines.
