📢 Recruitment Circular (Anthropologist)

A UNICEF-funded project, technical support by CIPRB in Bangladesh, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following positions:

Position Details

Position Title: Anthropologist

Number of Vacancies: 03 (Three)

Salary: 2800 Taka per day (BDT) (consolidated)

Duration: 10 Days

Sherpur, Kishorganj, Khagrachari, Kurigram,
Shirajganj, Bhola, Bagerhat, Sunamganj, Cox’s Bazar,
Cumilla

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct qualitative research at different project sites/districts using anthropological methods.
  2. Carry out in-depth interviews (IDI), focus group discussions (FGD).
  3. Apply culturally sensitive and ethical research approaches across diverse communities.
  4. Obtain informed consent and ensure voluntary participation.
  5. Audio-record interviews and discussions following ethical approval and consent.
  6. Take detailed field notes, observations, and reflective memos during and after field visits.
  7. Organize and submit soft copies of:
  1. Audio recordings
  2. English / Bangla Transcription
  3. Field notes and observation summaries
  1. Assist in coding, thematic summaries, and interpretation of qualitative findings.
  2. Prepare brief analytical notes highlighting key patterns, narratives, and social dynamics.
  3. Participate in training on qualitative methods, ethics, and transcription standards.
  4. Follow donor, institutional, and project-specific research protocols.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology.
  2. Prior experience in maternal health, Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), or humanitarian/health projects will be an advantage.
  3. Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  4. Willingness to travel frequently within the district.
  5. At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
