Duration 20 Working Days (10 June – 30 June 2026)

Salary BDT 2,800 per day (Including Transcription & Translation)

Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates must possess at least a Master's degree in Anthropology, Social Anthropology, or other relevant social science disciplines from a recognized university. The candidate should have a strong understanding of social research methodologies, cultural analysis, and community-based research approaches. Preference will be given to individuals with 2–3 years of experience conducting research among key populations, including LGBTQI communities, Female Sex Workers (FSWs), and people affected by HIV. Demonstrated knowledge of research ethics, safeguarding principles, and working with vulnerable and marginalized populations is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead and conduct qualitative research activities including IDIs, KIIs, FGDs and participant observations.
  2. Support development, adaptation and pre-testing of qualitative research tools.
  3. Explore social, cultural, behavioral and structural factors affecting HIV, SRH and key populations.
  4. Ensure ethical conduct of research and obtain informed consent.
  5. Facilitate rapport-building and effective engagement with community members and stakeholders.
  6. Maintain detailed field notes, interview records and observation documentation.
  7. Support transcription, translation, coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data.
  8. Identify emerging themes, barriers, facilitators and community perspectives.
  9. Participate in training, field planning, supervision and coordination meetings.
  10. Prepare field reports, summaries and analytical inputs for study reports.
  11. Ensure adherence to project timelines, safeguarding policies and research protocols.
  12. Perform any additional research-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator or Research Coordinator.

Required Skills

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Good command of Bangla and English (written and spoken).
  3. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Ability to work independently within tight deadlines.
