•134,772 children aged between 4 – 10 years have been trained in swimming survival techniques as part of the SwimSafe programme.


• CIPRB operates more than 1,00 swimming centres in the rural areas. These swimming structures used are created out of locally available  and low cost materials and placed in local ponds.


•More tha 22,000 children aged 1 - 5 years have attended Anchal in the four project areas.


•Made over one million home visits to identify injury risks and work with families to counsel mothers and care-givers on changing behavior and removing risks in their environment.


•Distributed injury text books designed for grades one to eight to 100,000 students


•2,380 playpens have been distributed amongst rural families to keep their children safe from harm.


•More than 4,000 community members are actively involved in injury prevention activities through participation in local Village Injury Prevention committees.


•Trained 1,144 people in first aid and provided them with first aid kits to provide initial care following an injury.


•In all three rural intervention areas combined, CIPRB has been a 31.6% decrease in the child mortality rate.
