To prevent unwanted childhood deaths in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Anchal and SwimSafe (BASS) a research project has jointly designed by International Drowning Research Centre-Bangladesh (IDRC-B) of CIPRB, University of British Columbia and The Alliance for Safe Children (TASC).
To identify both congenital and acquired disabilities of Anchal children and their siblings, a checklist and user manual have been developed. 40 Anchal Mas got training on “Physical Disability Screening” at Raiganj (BASS project area) on 13 March 2015. Dr. Aminur Rahman, Director IDRC-B of CIPRB conducted the training. BASS Anchal Monitoring Officer and Supervisors also participated in the training programme.
