Launching of “Child Poisoning Prevention in Rural Communities” Project held at Raiganj field laboratory-CIPRB, Sirajganj on 27 August 2015, organized by Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) and Australian Safe Communities Foundation (ASCF), funded by Australian Aid.
Prof. Dr. AKM Fazlur Rahaman welcomed everyone in the programme. Ms. Meegan Brotherton, Director, ASCF was chief guest speaker. Around 200 students from Khaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital participated in the programme who visited field laboratory of CIPRB that day. Over 500 thousands participants including government officials, representatives from the civil society, academia, researchers, CIPRB officials, and journalists took part in the event. 170 poisoning prevention boxes distributed among mothers from Brammagacha union.
