Emergency Management of Severe Burn (EMSB) is an international training course running around 25 counties over the world including Uk, Australia, New Zealand etc. In the South East Asian region EMSB is running successfully over last six years in Bangladesh. The course has been designed for surgeons, plastic and burn surgery and subject related to Burn patient management. Over 500 doctors already been trained in Bangladesh with BSc 16 nurses. Around 20 participants from abroadrelieve the course. Facilities from Australia and Bangladesh working together. At present 41 renowned burn and plague surgeons are conducting this course. Initiatives in Bangladesh has been taken by Australian New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) and Interplast Australia New Zealand with the partnership with Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh(CIPRB).
This year two training courses (one for nurse another for doctor) held on 28 and 29 March at BCPS, Mohakhali where 48 participants attended. We are thankful to EMSB committee, Bangladesh to continue their effort in emergency burn management. We are also thankful to ANZBA and Interplast Australia New Zealand for their continues support for the successful course in Bangladesh.
