7 April 2016: One the occasion of World Health Day 2016, CIPRB has been organized an awareness camp for the pregnant mothers at the marginalized population in the tea garden of Bangladesh. The civil surgeon office of Moulvibazar district organized the programme in a tea garden at Kamalganj upazila ( sub-district) . CIPRB with the support of UNFPA, Bangladesh is working together with government for strengthening maternal, adolescent and reproductive health care services in selected tea gardens in 2016. On this occasion, all pregnant mothers of the garden (41 mothers) come to the garden dispensary to receive antenatal care and each of them were screened for random blood sugar screening test. Pregnant mothers were examined by the medical doctor of the garden, they were advised for birth planning and shared message on maternal complications. This has been first time such initiatives has been taken on World Health Day for the pregnant mother in a marginalized population.
